Assisi

One of our first excursions was to Assisi a beautiful mountain city full of hermitages and home of giotto's frescoes of the life of St. Francis. We were able to drive up the mountain and have a picnic, and sing praise songs among the olive trees. We hiked up to a hermitage and saw were Francis secluded himself in prayer. Quite a beautiful place to see God's glory and a good reflection on St. Francis dedication to the life of Christ.

The best gelatoria in Rome.... arguably of course. Recent articles has shed light on the gelatoria's complacent behavior as of late, but not many can argue with the home made cream that makes their gelato king of these parts
